Meditation Groups

The WUTYL Beginner's Group meets every Sunday afternoon from 4-6 pm. Check the calendar for the location. It seeks to provide a supportive environment so that members can learn how to "cultivate attention" by developing a formal meditation practice and by applying practical mindfulness techniques to return to the "here and now" amidst daily life. The group provides meditation instruction, a group practice session, and time to discuss topics relevant to meditation practice and Buddhist teachings. The group is led by Jim Ellsworth.

The WUTYL Practice Group meets one evening a week. There is a period of sitting/walking meditation. The group then carefully studies the book which inspired the group's name, Ken McLeod's "Wake Up To Your Life: Discovering the Buddhist Path of Attention."
